Where To Buy Face Coverings

The Best Places To Buy Face Masks

Are you looking to buy some face masks but don't really know where to get cute ones from, well look no further.
I recently put out on my Instagram Story a question tab for my followers to suggest places to buy face coverings from, so from the companies suggested I also did my own research and had a look to find some super cute ones, because like it or not we are all going to have to own a fair few of these masks now that it will be mandatory to wear them in shops come July 24th.

Here is a list below of some of the places I have found that sell face coverings.

(Disclaimer this blog post contains some affiliate links)

GlossyBox

Glossybox have actually brought out their own range of face masks in 3 different designs and they are super cute and pink 💕
I actually have the baby pink one with the Glossybox logo on and it is so nice, breathable and fits my face really well.

Buy them individually for £7.99 or buy all 3 for £15.99

IWOOT

IWOOT has such a great range of masks on their website, from plain coloured ones to funny face ones, and also really pretty designs.
I did share these on my stories after I came across them as I do have a 20% off discount code that works on everything online including the masks.
Discount Code: GEMSUMMER20

I have linked the page below which contains all the masks available to buy, but I thought I would share a few of the pretty ones I like with you too ☺️

Price: £7.99 without discount.

Boohoo

Boohoo has some of my favourite colourful masks, I came across this colourful rainbow one, so I have that on order currently, and an adorable strawberry one I wanted was out of stock.
I don't think these have filters in but you can always add your own filter into any mask if needs be but most masks should have a slot for it.

There is a really big collection of masks on Boohoo, and the price is super cheap at £5 per mask and £8 for a pack of two.

Gap

Lots of people suggested Gap over on Instagram but when I looked on the site I could only find the kids ones available which I have linked below.
I shall share the Adults one on my stories over on Instagram when they come back in.

Price: 3 for £12.95 Kids

Shop Disney UK

Disney Store in the US brought out the cutest face coverings with the mouths of our favourite characters, and last week Shop Disney UK made them available to pre order for August, and Disney will be giving away to charities from these face coverings and also to the Red Cross across Europe which is a great incentive to purchase from them.

I absolutely love them all especially the Mickey and Minnie Pack and will be perfect for when your visiting a Disney park or to just wear a bit of Disney magic in your everyday life.
Available to pre order and the expected delivery date currently says 31/08/2020

Sizing for these tend to run small, and after asking online a lot of people suggested getting a large to make sure that it fits and isn't too small.

Price: £20 for a pack of 4

ASOS

Asos is also another company which have a great selection of face coverings, but personally I would say they are my least favourite.
As you can see from the photos they look to have a large gap under the chin and I think for a mask to be effective it has to be tight fitted to the face.

Price: £12 for a pack of 2

Claires

Claires is probably the best place to buy a face covering if your looking to buy for your children as they do some of the most vibrant kids masks I have seen, and its going to be tough to make children wear them as it is, but if they have a cute design to choose from then they might just wear them 😊

Price: £8.00

Price: Pack of 3 for £20

Product Link: Claires Adult Mask

I hope this post has helped a bit on finding colourful masks from well known companies online. I had previously brought a Disney one off of Etsy and I literally couldn't breath in it and it was HUGE, way too big for my face, but there is a lot to look at on Etsy so make sure you read up on them first and double check on sizing and quality, but I would say that is the same for all masks, you want one to protect yourself as well as others.

Hello.... Its Me, Gemma Summer. A 2019 Recap

WOW!!!

What can I say its been a reaaaaally long time since I have been on this blog, I actually lost it for over a year, tried to get it back and then kind of just gave up on the thought of my blog ever being found again and threw all my content at Instagram and Youtube.
But over the last year or so I did think about blog posts I wanted to write and trips and products I wanted to review for you and wished I had my blog.

I decided to look into finding it once again, and after many a time of not understanding why when I typed Gemma Summer blogspot into google that it could not be found, I looked a little closer at the URL and realised I had added an extra M into Summer, so my blog had been here this whole time I was just too blind to see it haha!!

So I thought I would pop this little Hello post on the blog, Happy 2020 a new decade and all that.
We have a lot to catch up on mainly most of my 2019 which was a great and fun year and I would say that 2020 was looking even better but with all Disney cancelled and life on hold I would say take me back to 2019.

I shall do a little lowdown since the last blog post.

2018

At the end of 2018 in November I got to visit Walt Disney World at Christmas for the first time ever, and oh my goodness it was a dream come true getting to see the Christmas  s castle lights in person for the first time.

Instagram Gemma Summer

I hit 20K Followers
This happened whilst I was in Walt Disney World, so from strating 2018 with 4K followers, I ended it with 20K I was very proud of myself and my content.

Christmas 2018

It basically started and ended for me in Disney World, 2018 was not a great year for many personal reasons which I shall touch on in specific blog posts, purely because of the serious nature of them and topics which need to be widely spoken about more.
So I pretty much wasnt bothered about Christmas or New Year at all and would rather of bypassed it all.

2019

One of my favourite years yet, which is odd as im supersticious and always assume the odd numbered years wont be great, but boy was I wrong.

I met my partner
And what a dream come true that was, after having a few months of finding myself again and who I was, I met him and life has been so fun ever since. I dont put our relationship online too much but you can see him in some of my travel Vlogs on Youtube.

Many Exciting Opportunities and Events Came My Way

Just to name a few this year

Mens Fashion Week

Minnie Rock The Dots Event

Teamed Up With Spectrum Collections For The Mickey Mouse Range

Danced My Butt Off At The Ciate X Jessica Rabbit Event

Experience The Worlds Biggest Primark And First Disney Cafe, before opening at at Christmas Time

Went to Elan Cafe With Canon

Teamed Up With Glossybox

And Got Sent Some Lovely Disney Goodies From Various Brands Along The Way

Festival Season

For the first time in years I did 3 festivals in the Summer, Truck Festival, Reading Festival and Gunnersville

And had the best time of my life on stage watching You Me At Six and getting to see my favourites The 1975 headline Reading Festival

I Had My Birthday In DISNEY WORLD

I am usually in one Disney Park for my birthday and this year I got to spend my actual birthday in the most magical place on earth, The Magic Kingdom, and it was EVERYTHING and more.

Ending 2019

Ending the year by actually being excited for Christmas and doing all the cute couple activities  I could find, like my annual Christmas trip to Blenhiem Palace.
But best of all we headed to Berlin to experience the real German Christmas markets.

So there we have it, in short thats my 2019 with quite a lot else in between but this blog post is long enough and I am sure if you follow me over on Instagram and Youtube you would of seen most of that..
I'm looking forward to popping a bit more content on here over this year and hoping you guys will stick around to read this too :)

B&B Hotel at Disneyland

B&B Hotel at Disneyland Paris

On my recent trip to Disneyland Paris we stayed off site in a partner hotel, something I haven't done for quite a few years and after staying in Disney hotels on my last few trips, I was worried about the quality of this hotel and how easy it would be to get to and from the parks.

As this was quite a last minute trip we actually booked the hotel 1 month before we were due to arrive, so with not much time to plan we wanted something close to Disneyland but also good value for money.
That's when we came across the B&B Hotel at Disneyland. Having stayed at the Vienna Dream castle a couple of times and been impressed with the level of rooms and shuttle service we decided to book it.

The Price

We were going for two nights and it was the cheapest we had found at the great price of £98pp including breakfast. I thought that was such a great deal and to also include breakfast was a bonus.
The only room types they had left available were quadruple rooms, and although there was only 2 of us going we had to book it.
It is likely that if we had a room fit for 2 people the price would of been even cheaper. But a quadruple room for that price was perfect for us, it meant we had lots of space to get ready and were not going to be on top of each other.

The Room

With it being a quadruple room this meant we had one large double bed and two single beds, which I loved, and as it was my birthday I got to sleep in the double bed which was such a treat from my usual single bed at home ha.
Included in the room is some wardrobe space, a desk, a TV, one full length mirror and a bathroom with a shower / really small bath, ideal if you are children's size.
The rooms at the B&B Hotel are key less, which means no worrying about if you have lost the key card but it does mean remembering the code they give you to enter the room. I quite liked the fact it was key less as that's one less thing to worry about.

The Breakfast & Shuttle

I have been asked quite a few questions regarding the breakfast, and honestly it is so good, just because it is a value resort doesn't mean the breakfast won't be as good as other hotels.
In fact it is basically exactly the same breakfast you would get at the other partner hotels.
It wasn't far off the Disney hotel breakfasts either. It is a buffet with lots of croissants, toast, yogurt and cheese and meats to choose from.
You could come and go as you please from the breakfast, there is no set time and plenty of seating.

The Shuttle comes to the hotel every 20mins or so and you can check the board in the lobby for when the shuttle will be arriving. The shuttle varies each trip, so for instance you could get picked up last and head straight to the parks or you could be picked up first and then have to make stops at the other partner hotels before you get to the parks. The shuttle is free and runs all day till about 12.30am
I have never had any problems with the shuttle in the past it has always been reliable, except for the first day we arrived at the hotel. The shuttle kept being delayed and delayed and eventually we ended up getting an Uber to the parks, but apart from that it worked like clockwork.

I would definitely stay there again on my return trip and would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay close to Disneyland Paris which won't break the bank.
Below is a link for the TripAdvisor page to book the B&B hotel and check out prices.

I have recently checked out prices for 2 nights midweek in March and it was coming up at £71pp which is amazing.

Urban Tiger - Hotel Rum Budapest

During our stay at Hotel Rum Budapest we ate at the hotels restaurant Urban Tiger.

We ate here the night that we arrived as we didn't want to travel far to find somewhere and the reviews I had read online were very promising.

Urban Tiger is a restaurant within itself, not just a restaurant in a hotel.
You can enter from within the hotel lobby or if you are just walking by Urban Tiger as its own shop front and entrance on the street behind the hotels entrance.

It has a beautiful interior with a gorgeous bar, which looks spectacular lit up at night time. A perfect little hide away from the busy streets of Budapest.

Scroll down to see what we ordered, the chicken dish I ordered for a main was good but not great and it definitely wasn't a favourite restaurant of mine while dining out in Budapest.
However it did make for a quick easy dinner with a complementary alcoholic drink which I got as part of a package when booking the hotel.

Hotel Rum Budapest

Hotel Rum was the hotel of choice for our city break in Budapest this Christmas season.

A beautiful contemporary urban hotel situated in the quiet downtown area of the city, it was a stones throw away from the busy main town centre, and the walk into town was quick and easy to get to.
It was nice to have a hotel in a cute quiet little area of Budapest that we probably would not have of seen otherwise.
I loved that the entrance to the hotel was down a quiet little road that you wouldn't usually come across if you were just walking around that area.
It was like finding a hidden gem.

Our Booking

We booked to stay in a medium sized room, which was situated on the sixth floor of the hotel which is currently the top floor, that is until they open their new rooftop bar in the summer.
As the room is at the top of the hotel it had a sky light window which looked out onto the main street below.
With our booking we got a 10% voucher for the hotels restaurant Urban Tiger and a welcome drink.
All of that came in the price of the hotel, which we stayed for three nights, for well under £200 pp.

The Medium Room

The medium room was a perfect size for the both of us, it came with a desk area, an area over the other side of the room to hang and fold clothes and then a cute little bathroom with a sliding door.
I'm not overly fond of bathrooms in hotel rooms without proper closing doors. I don’t think it’s very private to have a sliding door for the bathroom area, especially as it didn’t close all the way to the wall.
From looking at the photos of other rooms in the hotel it looks as though all sized rooms have the same sliding door to the bathroom.
But other than that the room was great, and such a big size for the both of us.
The bed had two separate single duvets on it, I have seen this in other hotels in Budapest, maybe it’s a thing there but it would of been nice to have one big duvet for the both of us.

On arrival we were greeted to a little note and two Home made chocolate chip cookies. I absolutely love little details like that and they were SO good as well.

The Hotel

The entrance into the hotel greets you with the reception desk which is always maned and a small cosy seating area with complementary fizzy water and fresh fruit.
The ground floor also leads you through to the hotels restaurant Urban Tiger which serves a buffet breakfast in the morning, which honestly was one of the best breakfasts that I have had in a hotel. The selection was great and was always fully replenished.

We Loved It

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel, not only was the hotel immaculate and warming in itself, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The added bonus of a complimentary drink and 10% off our food bill in Urban Tiger made it just the most perfect location.
I love contemporary boutique hotels, and this is now another one of my favourites.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend, and would most definitely revisit if I were to go back to Budapest in the future.
